Vitamin

B-Complex (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6)

Five essential B vitamins that fuel energy metabolism, nervous system function, and cellular repair.

What It Is

The B-complex is a group of five water-soluble vitamins that act as cofactors in hundreds of enzymatic reactions throughout the body. Thiamine (B1) supports nerve conduction and cardiac function — note: thiamine can cause anaphylaxis if pushed too rapidly and is always administered at a controlled rate. Riboflavin (B2) drives cellular energy production. Niacin (B3) is essential for DNA repair and NAD+ synthesis. Pantothenic acid (B5/dexpanthenol) supports adrenal function and tissue healing. Pyridoxine (B6) is essential for neurotransmitter synthesis and amino acid metabolism.

What It Does

  • Fuels cellular energy production (ATP synthesis)
  • Supports healthy red blood cell formation
  • Maintains nervous system integrity and neurotransmitter synthesis
  • Reduces fatigue, brain fog, and stress-related nutrient depletion
  • Supports mood regulation and hormonal balance

Clinical Considerations

Thiamine (B1 component) carries a risk of anaphylaxis if infused too rapidly — always administered at a controlled rate with a test dose for new patients. High-dose B3 (niacin) may cause transient flushing. Not recommended at high doses in active liver disease without medical supervision.
