Glutathione
The body's master antioxidant — detoxifies cells, brightens skin, and protects against oxidative stress and heavy metals.
What It Is
Glutathione is a tripeptide (glutamate + cysteine + glycine) produced naturally in every cell. It is the body's primary intracellular detoxification molecule, neutralising reactive oxygen species and binding to heavy metals and toxins for elimination via the liver. IV glutathione achieves intracellular concentrations that oral supplementation cannot replicate, as it is largely broken down in the gastrointestinal tract before systemic absorption. At 2,000mg — as used in Rejuvenation and Rejuvenescence — glutathione produces the well-documented skin brightening (not lightening) effect for which it is clinically recognised.
What It Does
- Primary cellular antioxidant and detoxification molecule
- Chelates and assists elimination of heavy metals
- Supports liver detoxification pathways
- Promotes skin brightness and even skin tone at 2,000mg dose
- Enhances immune cell activity and resilience
Clinical Considerations
A test dose is administered to first-time patients to assess tolerability. Should be used with caution in patients with known sulphur sensitivities or asthma. Not recommended during active chemotherapy (may interfere with pro-oxidative cancer treatment mechanisms). Administered slowly to minimise the risk of allergic reaction. A full medical consultation is required.
