Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid)

A potent antioxidant that supports immunity, collagen synthesis, and cellular protection — delivered at doses up to 25,000mg IV.

What It Is

Ascorbic acid is a water-soluble vitamin the body cannot produce on its own. When delivered intravenously, plasma concentrations reach up to 70× higher than oral supplementation allows, enabling it to function as a powerful antioxidant, immune modulator, and collagen co-factor at a cellular level. Aurevia administers Vitamin C at a range of therapeutic doses: 5,000mg in beauty and maintenance drips, 15,000mg in eye health protocols, and 25,000mg in the high-dose immune fortification drip.

What It Does

  • Supports and fortifies the immune system at therapeutic doses
  • Co-factor for collagen synthesis — skin elasticity and wound repair
  • Neutralises reactive oxygen species (free radicals)
  • Enhances iron absorption from the gut
  • Ocular antioxidant protection at high dose (15,000–25,000mg)

Clinical Considerations

High-dose IV Vitamin C is contraindicated in patients with G6PD (glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase) deficiency, as haemolysis may occur. Caution in patients with a history of calcium oxalate kidney stones. Not recommended in active renal failure. A clinical pre-treatment assessment is mandatory.
